Happy New Year everyone!

For the first time in I-can't-remember-how-many-years, I did not play tennis on New Year's day. It wasn't because of the weather, I don't think. I just had stuff to do. Like fixing my computer, or maybe going out.

The truth is, I don't really remember what happened. Have been studying too much maybe, or perhaps there has just been too much to do. Don't think I played tennis since early September, so maybe I just forgot about the game.

And you know what? I really enjoyed last semester, one without sports-related injuries, and one without too much worries on how the weather would turn out. Youth group has been a blast. And the Canucks has been playing awesome.

There is a catch though. Every time some boys in my youth group challenge me to an arm-wrestling match -- and it happens pretty much every week -- I am reminded of a not-so-distant active life-style. No, I've never been big on arm-wrestling, but I can still take on our high-school bunch, although I am staying put and they are getting strong. The push-ups contest is a different story. I was uncontested for a few months, and now somebody else has the crown.

And I kept reminding myself: wait until the New Year comes...
