Notes:

Refer to Notes - Week 08 on how to check out the most recent version of vuVolume.

KDEvelop with CVS and vuVolume:

  • Project -> Generate Project File...

  • Highlight (single click) the folder "proj" (or where vuVolume resides). Click OK.

  • Note: look at status bar at bottom of kdevelop window for progress

  • Due to a bug (?), you can't "make" right away.

  • Project -> Close

  • Project -> Open recent project -> vuVolume (or what you named the vuVolume project)

  • Build -> Make

  • The "Make" process should now begin. It could last up to 15 minutes, depending on which computer you are at. During the Make process, on the bottom right portion of the window, you will see a running summary of what Make is doing (i.e. entering and leaving which directories). At the end of the Make process, there should be a line saying "success".

  • To run vuGui, go to the folder vuGui (there is a "Files" tab/panel in the left portion of the window), and single click on the file vuGui.

  • To update or commit a file via CVS, simply right click on a folder or a file and click on "update", or "commit". After you update, make sure you re-make vuVolume and re-run vuGui BEFORE you commit.
